Does This Sound Familiar?

WHAT WOMEN TOLD US

"It's rarely lack of information. It's low self-belief, all-or-nothing thinking, and trying to fix everything at once. That's where most women get stuck."

Women's wellbeing research, 2026

"Many women already know what would help their wellbeing, but they don't have the space or support to implement it consistently — so anything that helps them with wellbeing and the actual reality, I guess."

You don't need to know exactly what you need.

"I didn't have a specific need, just a general feeling of disorder. I do feel like I am in a much more structured place now."

Elizabeth's coaching client

"I wasn't initially sure what I needed, but after discussing it I felt like it became clear that I needed help to organise and prioritise different areas of my life. I feel very confident moving forward into this year, in regard to both my personal and professional life."

Pause Practice - FAQs

1. What is The Pause Practice?

A free ten-minute guided wellbeing experience for women. It helps you identify what matters most right now, name what has been getting in the way, and find a realistic place to begin.

2. Who is it for?

Women who want to improve how they feel but aren't sure where to start, or keep finding reasons why now isn't the right time.

3. Do I need to be in crisis to use this?

No. Wanting to improve your wellbeing is enough of a reason to start.

4. I never have enough time for my own wellbeing, can this help?

Yes. The Pause Practice includes a coaching activity specifically for this, alongside a practical guide to help you identify where time is going and what one small change could look like.

5. I feel guilty putting myself first, is there something here for me?

Yes. There is a guided activity to help you name that guilt and begin to challenge it.

6. I don't know what I'm feeling or where to start, what will this give me?

A guided emotional awareness activity using an evidence-based framework to help you identify and begin to understand what you're experiencing.

7. I can't make self-care stick — will this help?

Yes. There is a coaching activity to help you explore what self-care actually means for you and identify a realistic starting point.

8. My sleep, movement, nutrition and connection keep slipping — is there support for this?

Yes. The Pause Practice includes a structured check-in across all four areas to help you understand where you are and identify one place to begin.

9. I feel overwhelmed and can't think straight, what will this do for me?

A guided check-in using the P.I.E.S framework — physical, intellectual, emotional, and social/spiritual — to help you pause, notice what is actually going on, and find one realistic place to begin.

10. What happens after I complete The Pause Practice?

You will be introduced to the Women's Wellbeing Lab — a structured, psychology-informed wellbeing membership where the work continues, in the way that works for you.

11. Who created The Pause Practice?

The Pause Practice was created by Elizabeth Simpson, an accredited wellness and resilience coach with post graduate training in Psychology and CBT, and founder of the Women's Wellbeing Lab at elizabethsimpsoncoaching.co.uk.
